I need more information. If anyone can provide it I would appreciate it.

Where are the nearest villages? Are there roads connecting them and the temple? How long does it take to reach them? Are there maps available? I'm not walking into the jungles blindly, not knowing what to expect first.

[Meth already has her weapons and basic traveling supplies that her capybara's saddlebags hold. She's named him Frei, though he's considerably calmer and steadier than her deity. That doesn't mean she's going to trek through unfamiliar terrain when their hosts are sure to have all the answers to her questions.]

My name is Meth Rezza, for those of you who I haven't met.

[Yeah, that's all she really wants to say to the crowds at large.]

Kat, Liz, I'm heading out tomorrow one way or another, if either of you want to join me.

Ah! Venturing out, miss? Ardel and Eider aren't far. I'm sure one of the carts will be happy to take you to Ardel. Leave in the morning, be there well in time for lunch.

One of the servants can point you the path to Eider.

[There's a pause and the faint rustle of paper.]

It will take longer, though. We don't import much from Eider, so you'll need to walk, but it's not far. Maybe half a day? The roads are good, it's quite easy. I make the journey often myself!

[So there are roads and two villages within walking distance.]

Are there any differences between the two? Blight, are there any maps I could at least look at, if not take with me?

[Meth would appreciate being able to gain a little geographical perspective, thank you very much.]

...and there are places for us to stay in these villages, aren't there? An inn or one of the locals?

[Not that Meth wants to stay with strangers, but she also doesn't want to be walking back to the temple in the middle of the night.]

Well, Ardel's farmland, mostly. It's to the south of here. Eider is north, in the heart of the forest. Not much farming there, though we do get some very fine wood from them for furniture and so on.

The villages are kind enough to provide spare housing for our Called, but I think you will find the locals are more than happy to provide a place for you to sleep.

[It sounds like he's fiddling with a pen...and then he drops it. There's a muffled "whoops" before he returns.]

There's a button on your comm. Near the top? It will bring up a map.

[There were more maps on this thing? Meth pauses to see if Fillin is correct. Sure enough, a map of Vertiline shows up. Meth finds the temple first, and from there, Ardel and Eider. Eider is up on the peninsula, and Meth's inclination is to explore that corner before heading in to explore the rest of the country.

Hopefully Kat and Liz will have the same preference, or none at all.]

Very well, thank you.
